The egg slowly rolls down the ridge of my nose, over my lips, along my throat, circling my chest. I feel the cold delicate shell against my spine, as it follows each curve of my body. Once every part has been covered, the egg is cracked in a glass of water. This is the diagnostic. It takes a few minutes for the egg to settle into its unique shape. It informs the shaman of the physical, emotional and psychological blocks the person is experiencing. Like reading tea leaves, the egg becomes a channel of information. I adored meeting Rachel recently. The connection was immediate. Within days I had a very moving and deep experience of her gift in a reading soon after. I have received many tarot readings from Rachel, both in person as well as over the phone. It was amazing! I had some inner child healing that needed to be handled. I had a horrific childhood and a part of my soul fragmented and became stuck deep within the tissues of my body. I asked Rachel if she would help me access this little being. We began the journey with Hapé and Rachel called in our guides and began her drumming. Within minutes I was in a trance. I vaguely recall her putting florida water (that she made) in my hands and placing my palms on my cheeks. I remember her having me lay down and “wooosh!” spirit was right there and she and I journeyed together to rescue my inner child. It was deeply emotional. Rachel did a magnificent job of handling the part of my soul that was still 3 years old so she could reintegrate her into my body. There were times when I felt like I was flying - literally felt the wind swirling up, over and under me. It was a strong and powerful experience. The La Limpia ceremony was absolutely life altering. While being totally grounded to the earth, and aware of all of my senses, except that my eyes were closed, it was as if I was traveling through another dimension. I let go and just allowed whatever occurred, and it felt like I was journeying. I sobbed the most amazing full-body release I have maybe ever experienced. It wasn’t sadness, it was an energetic release that moved through me, loosening up and allowing to flow away many arduous journeys from my past and breath-stifling anticipatory futures. When I finally opened my eyes at the very end, I looked at Rachel and she had white hair, pale white skin, and a beautiful, wrinkly, wise, smiling face. She occurred as the grandmother of herself, but also as all the grandmothers that have been, and all the grandmothers that will be. Rachel was born to bring this gift to our planet and share this very special medicine for healing us all on our journeys, as we do our work, in love, together.

I’ve never had a formal tarot reading before and I am beyond delighted that my first reading was with Rachel. The reading was exactly what I needed in this moment and was incredibly supportive and validating.
